Research Fellow in Interventional Cardiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Fellow to join our Interventional Cardiology team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organized individual with a desire to undertake a period of research training as part of their clinical training.
Key Responsibilities- Support the cardiac intervention research activities and contribute to the development of aims and objectives for a higher degree.
- Obtain funding and ethical approval as required for research studies.
- Assist in the running and recruitment to the portfolio of departmental research studies.
- Record, analyze, and communicate scientific data, including a clear interpretation of results.
- Write scientific papers and present at scientific meetings.
- Participate in the out-of-hours clinical service of the department as required.
- Develop relevant research and clinical skills.
- Budget and keep records of expenditure on laboratory consumables.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- A primary medical qualification as recognized by the General Medical Council (GMC) and current Full Registration with the GMC.
- MRCP (or Equivalent)
- Intercalated BSc or MSc (desirable)
- Good Clinical Practice training (desirable)
- Knowledge of general research techniques (desirable)
- Experience of statistical analyses (desirable)
- ST level training in cardiology (essential)
- Experience in successfully conducting own projects (desirable)
- Using informatics and data (desirable)
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to exercise initiative
- Ability to work constructively and effectively within a small team
- Ability to collaborate and relate with others
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to competently use appropriate software (desirable)
