Position Overview

We are seeking a Head of Information Security to enhance our organizational security framework. This is a remote role that offers the opportunity to shape our security policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development: Formulate and uphold organizational policies, methodologies, and products aimed at mitigating information security risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of ongoing enhancement, sharing best practices, and cultivating the Information Security Management (ISM) and Information Security Assurance (ISA) teams.
  • Security Engagement: Act as the primary security liaison across various sectors to ensure robust security management.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert security guidance for business operations and change initiatives.
  • Risk Oversight: Assess and advise on information security risks within your designated area.
  • Strategic Guidance: Offer strategic risk insights for both IT and non-IT projects, evaluating and recommending appropriate controls.
  • Incident Management: Conduct thorough investigations and analyses following security breaches, preparing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and client security audits.
  • Certification Management: Support the acquisition and management of security certifications.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of information security professionals.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in information security.
  • Extensive knowledge of security management frameworks such as ISO 2700x, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ITIL, and COBIT.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing security teams.
  • Understanding of the pensions sector is advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and planning skills, with a strong ability to prioritize and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
