Job Summary

This is a full-time position responsible for the smooth operation of school and boarding facilities, with a focus on boarding team management, health and safety, facilities maintenance, and office administration.

Key ResponsibilitiesBoarding Management
  • Supervise and coordinate the boarding team to ensure effective management of boarding operations.
  • Organize and manage the termly boarding shift rotas to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Manage tasks and responsibilities for boarding staff during office hours.
  • Chair the weekly Boarding Meeting to discuss operational matters and address concerns.
  • Oversee student departure and arrival arrangements, including taxi bookings and transportation.
  • Monitor accommodation and student rooms for tidiness and cleanliness, identifying maintenance and health and safety issues for reporting to the landlord.
  • Coordinate room checks and audits with the Housemother and other boarding staff members.
  • Organize room allocation for the academic year and summer school program.
  • Arrange bookings for catering, rooms, sports facilities, transportation, and student trips.
  • Support students with inquiries and medical/welfare appointments.
  • Coordinate student events and boarding activities with the boarding team.
Campus Facilities
  • Manage and plan for upcoming building and refurbishment projects.
  • Manage maintenance requests to the landlord and maintain a log of maintenance activities.
Health and Safety
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines under the supervision of the Head of School.
  • Maintain the school's risk assessment register and collaborate with the Head of School to develop and review risk assessments.
  • Review and implement Health and Safety procedures and regular checks across facilities, including ISCA studios, offices, and accommodation.
  • Liaise with ISCA's Health and Safety advisor to ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Office Management
  • Manage office functions, including reception, visitors, students, deliveries, and student requests for school materials and print credit.
  • Oversee the materials store inventory and manage office file management and archiving.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Carry out duties with an awareness and understanding of Safeguarding requirements within the area of responsibility.
  • Work in compliance with all Safeguarding policies and procedures applicable to the role.
  • Behaviours and actions support the safeguarding of children, young people, or adults with care and support needs as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Diploma of Higher Education
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Slough, UK
  • Work authorization for the United Kingdom
