Position Overview: The primary objective of this role is to deliver expert engineering support and exceptional customer service during the maintenance of various security solutions, including CCTV, Intruder Alarms, and Access Control Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of PC/Network-based and analogue security systems, utilizing various high-end software applications.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing CCTV systems, from small installations to extensive multi-site setups with PC-based digital recorders.
  • Understand fibre optic transmission systems, LAN/WAN networks, and radio telemetry systems to effectively address any issues.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers as necessary.
  • Offer emergency solutions during out-of-hours operations as per the departmental schedule.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure that the agreed scope of work aligns with customer expectations.
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to the organization's objectives.
  • Commit to personal development and performance enhancement, participating in performance reviews and development plans.
  • Maintain current technical knowledge through both internal and external training opportunities.
  • Adhere to business-specific applications and processes, including order submission, stock management, timesheet entry, and job closure.
  • Travel between various sites as required during the workday.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, and Intruder Systems.
  • Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems.
  • Understanding of digital electronics principles and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP and network fundamentals.

Working Conditions:

  • Overtime and call-out requirements may apply.
  • Optional overtime on Sundays, with a contractual call-out rota in accordance with Working Regulations.
  • Standard working hours: 40 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Salary range: £32,000 – £36,000, dependent on experience and training credentials.
