Cyber Security Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineering Lead to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of secure asset build and system hardening capabilities, ensuring strong compliance monitoring for our end-user computing and server estate.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the management of a team of Cyber Engineers, providing day-to-day operational and tactical solutions.
- Design and deliver secure asset build and system hardening capabilities, ensuring compliance monitoring.
- Maintain security infrastructure, including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Protection systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop cyber security engineering strategies and controls.
- Develop and maintain cyber security engineering documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure long-term controls and processes are established to manage technical debt within acceptable risk tolerances.
- Extensive experience in Security Engineering process and control design, implementation, and management.
- Understanding of different operating systems and security approaches for various technology stacks.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Exposure to securing large deployments of servers and endpoints in complex infrastructure landscapes.
- Hands-on experience with Privileged access management tools.
- Previous experience in the water utility industry or large, complex infrastructure-based enterprises.
- Security engineering-specific training and/or certification.
- Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Competitive salary up to £88,000 per annum.
- Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with length of service.
- Car Allowance - £5800 per annum.
- Annual Bonus – On target 15% stretch - 30%.
