About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at Impact Food Group. As a key member of our Safety Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance to the Health and Safety Director in the management of all matters relating to food safety, health and safety, and food allergen safety across the company.
  • Actively work to create and improve a positive safety culture within the specific area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that we can provide the safest workplaces and complaint working environments.
  • Create, promote, and motivate excellent food safety, health and safety, and allergen management through various initiatives across the company.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on all food safety, allergen management, and health and safety matters.
  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of safety standards, requirements, and issues allowing for mutually agreeable and fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Ensure that Impact Food Group complies with its legal obligations and achieves its strategic aims to minimize the risks to our employees and organization.
  • Provide guidance and assurance that safe systems of work are in place.
  • Be responsible for completion of audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Alongside the Health and Safety Director, play an active role in leading the continual improvement in H&S performance through monthly reporting, management meetings, delivering training, and communicating information in user-friendly language that is engaging.
Requirements
  • It is essential that you have at least NVQ L4 in Food Hygiene and NVQ L5 Health and Safety.
  • 2 years' experience working within a Food Safety/Health and Safety position.
  • A background in a Food Safety environment as a manager covering multiple sites would be advantageous.
  • Desirable qualifications include a BSc/MSc in Environmental Health.
  • An understanding and experience in working within a contract catering or retail catering environment is desirable.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills.
