Job Title: Executive Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team at Relais & Châteaux Thornbury Castle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and service of our menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the culinary team in the preparation and service of menu items, ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered to our guests.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes, ensuring they align with our culinary vision and standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with our restaurant team to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Recruit, train, and develop culinary staff, ensuring they meet our high standards and expectations.
  • Monitor and maintain food safety and health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Work closely with our hotel management team to ensure alignment with our company goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a 3 AA Rosette or 1 Michelin star environment.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing culinary teams and delivering exceptional results.
  • Strong knowledge of modern British cuisine and ability to develop innovative menu ideas.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
