Job Title: Supply Chain & Planning Manager

VANRATH is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain & Planning Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain and planning functions to ensure the successful delivery of maintenance and improvement contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the planning function and oversee the management of sub-contractors and supply chain partners.
  • Deliver all contract works in line with client KPI requirements and internal targets.
  • Ensure sub-contractors understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage the business and client relationship, ensuring transparency and good channels of communication.
  • Chair daily huddles and monitor KPIs with the depot's supervisors, planners, and administration team.
  • Drive H&S compliance in all work practices and monitor through H&S inspections.
  • Set up, update, and manage a sub-contractor KPI system.
  • Report on KPIs at internal meetings and chair meetings to address poor performances.
  • Ensure sub-contractors comply with all work processes and IT systems.
  • Manage applications, including Accuserv, C-View, and Accumobile.
  • Own planning the work with the depot planning team and advise staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Set and drive planning standards across the area.
  • Monitor job numbers and workflows to ensure adequate resource is in place.
  • Support the Head of Operations on contract matters and respond to queries and complaints.
  • Liaise with the QS department on QS matters and support resolving queries and challenges.
  • Manage all relevant KPIs and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Support the management of the team and perform people management activities.
  • Assist with and champion Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Prior knowledge of basic property maintenance.
  • IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid UK driver's license.
  • Ability to foster a team ethic and remain calm under pressure.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions.
  • Ability to think outside the box regarding improvements to efficiencies.
Desirable Criteria:
  • CSR Supervisor Card or NVQ equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Previous experience working on NIHE contracts.
