We are seeking highly skilled musicians to join our team at the Royal Air Force. As a Musician, you will be part of a prestigious organization that performs at top concert venues, national events, and royal engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform at various events and venues, including symphonic wind band, big band, small ensemble, and chamber music
- Provide music support for the RAF, including state ceremonial, international defense engagement, and major concert tours
- Develop and maintain a high level of musical proficiency, including Grade 8 standard as defined by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music or equivalent
- Aged 17.5–47 years old (must attest before 48th birthday)
- Citizen of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, holder of dual UK/other nationality, or Commonwealth citizen since birth (with 'right to work' immigration status)
- Commit to a minimum of 27 days per year for 12 years minimum
- Meet health and fitness criteria
As a Musician in the RAF, you will receive basic and specialist training in your field, including the option to pay for your education. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills through the Training and Development Section at your RAF unit.
