Senior Molecular Biology Scientist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Molecular Biology Scientist to join our team at Immunocore. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for validating novel therapeutic targets and contributing to the nomination of new pipeline programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of AML disease biology and identify key opinion leaders in the field.
  2. Develop and implement in vitro ImmTAC assays to elucidate target biology.
  3. Analyze relevant literature to aid triaging potential cancer targets.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to advance new pipeline programs.
  5. Communicate experimental results verbally and in writing, and contribute to writing research publications.
  6. Demonstrate a record of scientific accomplishment through publications, presentations, and/or contributions to regulatory submissions.
  7. Apply astute scientific approach with strong time management and agile work practices.
  8. Utilize histology techniques, such as FFPE/frozen tissue sectioning and Immunohistochemistry.
  9. Apply molecular biology techniques, including primer design and qPCR, western blotting.
  10. Develop in-depth knowledge of AML disease biology, molecular heterogeneity, stem cell biology, and representative models.
  11. Contribute to the development of first-in-class biological therapies to patients.
  12. Apply experience with analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data (10x), bioinformatics, pathology training, and complex cell and 3D models.

Requirements:

Normally requires a PhD in a scientific discipline and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience; MSc degree or BSc degree with role-specific equivalent research or industrial experience.
