Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute focused research projects or a series of complex experimental procedures to study disease biology in patient-relevant cellular models.
  • Champion and leverage cutting-edge molecular cell biology techniques and technologies for in vitro disease modeling.
  • Exercise solid judgment to prioritize studies, considering feasibility and project impact.
  • Effectively distil complex, multi-dimensional data and results into concise concepts and propose strategic and experimental actions.
  • Proactively communicate and independently prepare study presentations, presenting experimental conclusions at internal group/department or project team research meetings.
Requirements:
  • PhD in a relevant biological science (e.g. molecular or cellular biology).
  • Strong cell biology background, including a broad range of cell systems such as human iPSCs, differentiated cultures, and primary cells.
  • Experience of CRISPR editing, including designing editing strategy, generating and characterizing clones, and downstream quality control.
  • Versatile molecular biology experience, including qPCR, Western Blot, ELISA, IHC, and other cellular assays.
  • Proven track record for solving complex scientific problems and delivering high-quality results, as demonstrated through an excellent publication history, supported by evidence of major individual contributions.
