We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant alternative provision school in Worcester. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with special educational needs in a nurturing environment.
The successful candidate will work with a child in Year 5 in the mornings and a child in Year 7 in the afternoons, both of whom have autism, moderate learning difficulties, and demand avoidance. This role will start in September and will be a full-time position for the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to staff and parents
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with the SEN team to develop effective strategies
- Previous UK school experience is essential
- Experience with the National Curriculum, Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), Reception, and EYFS
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Passionate about providing exceptional support to children with SEN
- Competitive salary of £525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
- The option of PAYE or Umbrella
- Holiday Pay - for PAYE candidates 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot

This position is easily commutable from Droitwich, Malvern, Evesham, Pershore, Bromsgrove, and Kidderminster. The school offers onsite parking and excellent transport links from most areas of Worcester.
