About the Role

We are seeking a Support Assistant to join our team, working alongside experienced teachers to support students aged 5-16 with special educational needs, including Autism and associated conditions.

As a Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing both academic and vocational support, helping students excel in their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students in their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
  • Assist students with personal and educational goals, particularly those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
  • Promote an environment that values equality, diversity, and respect for all.
  • Play a proactive role in fostering a positive learning environment, supporting students in developing confidence and independence.
  • Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for students, focusing on their transition into adult life.

  • Educated to at least Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent).
