AECOM's Sustainable Development Group excels in Decentralised Energy solutions, encompassing District Heating, District Cooling, renewable energy sources, and energy storage systems. We are expanding our team and currently seek a Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership and project delivery expertise.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the UK energy landscape, including strategies for decarbonizing buildings, estates, and urban areas, as well as designing and implementing District Heating networks at scale.

Our team specializes in the design of low-carbon sustainable energy networks, guiding projects from initial opportunity assessment through feasibility studies, business case development, design, and commercialization, to procurement support, construction oversight, and post-construction evaluation. We are involved in numerous projects across the UK and internationally, including the Middle East and Europe, and actively support government initiatives in various capacities.

- Oversee the technical execution of heat network projects, focusing on decarbonization, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies.

Qualifications

Are You Ready to Innovate?

Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience in delivering District Heating design, energy option studies, energy audits, and decarbonization strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects from conception to operational phase.
  • MEng or BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
