Job Title: Component Support Engineer

At Komatsu Australia, we're seeking a highly skilled Component Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in optimising component production and improving the overall efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage engineering communications and technical changes for components between Planning, Customer Support, and Engineering teams.
  • Develop short-term and long-term solutions to optimise component production and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with production and reman engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Drive outcomes on strategic projects and provide technical expertise to support business decisions.
  • Analyse and recommend technical changes to components to reduce inventory and increase flexibility.
  • Develop and maintain reports and KPIs to measure and analyse component performance.
Requirements:
  • Relevant engineering tertiary qualification with at least 3 years of experience in a similar industry.
  • Advanced technical knowledge and familiarity with engineering standards, documents, and drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a strong commitment to delivering results and improving processes.
