About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Connex Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in a primary school setting.

Your key responsibilities will include providing general classroom support, facilitating learning through play, and working with small groups of pupils who require additional help. You will work closely with the Class Teacher to promote the acquisition of learning goals and support the development of children's skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general classroom support for all pupils in KS1 and KS2
  • Facilitate learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to promote the acquisition of learning goals
  • Support the development of children's skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 11 years
  • Ability to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher
  • Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
  • Behaviour management skills
  • Organisation and reliability
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process a new one
