Role Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is tasked with managing a designated region or market to pursue outstanding payments from clients in accordance with the Global Credit Policy. This role involves overseeing the accounts receivable ledger and proactively assessing the market to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

Debt Recovery:

Engage with clients to expedite collections and meet established targets Generate monthly statements and follow-up correspondence Collaborate with management to set monthly collection objectives Prepare accurate remittance advice for each payment received

Risk Management:

Evaluate the financial status of new and existing clients to minimize credit risk Establish and maintain customer credit limits Manage credit holds for overdue accounts Implement credit insurance when necessary

Reporting and Additional Duties:

Work alongside Sales teams to resolve Debit Memos related to customer deductions, ensuring their validity and following up on daily invoices. Prepare monthly calculations for bad debt provisions and provide recommendations. Maintain accruals in collaboration with General Ledger, based on agreed customer conditions. Generate regular reports on Aging, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and outstanding items in the accounts receivable balance. Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable and provide necessary data to General Ledger.

Qualifications for Success

Essential:

1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity preferred Strong understanding of general accounting principles Familiarity with Sage, Oracle Finance module, or other ERP systems Enthusiasm for joining a mid-sized, rapidly growing company with dynamic brands
