Electrical Site Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join our team at KUS Power Engineering, a leading design and build electrical contractor. As a key member of our Projects and Construction Teams, you will be responsible for delivering site-based construction elements associated with multi-discipline projects, ensuring timely and safe delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with stakeholders to manage construction activities, including programme progression, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Administer Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and ensure safety processes are upheld onsite.
  • Liaise with Client Operations Teams throughout the construction phase.
  • Receive, manage, and issue drawings for construction at site level, checking construction meets design requirements.
  • Manage sub-contractor onsite activities and internal direct reports for the Construction team.
  • Plan and provide documentation, resources, tools, materials, consumables, H&S equipment, and transport for safe and efficient construction.
  • Manage site Acceptance Testing and delivery of 'As-Built' documentation throughout onsite construction and commissioning phases.
  • Complete site audits and inspections to maintain the highest standard of quality.
Requirements:
  • Team player with knowledge of safe systems of work and a recognised industrial/commercial electrical Modern Apprenticeship or degree-level qualification.
  • Experience in industrial electrical containment construction to current electrical regulation SMSTS Certified.
  • Experience working in HV outdoor compound substation environment, up to 33kV.
  • NEBOSH and full first aid at work.
  • Comfortable with overnight stay/travel up to and over 2 hours.
