Job Description

This Employee Relations Specialist position will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage employee relations casework efficiently, including disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment, performance, and attendance management.
  • Support line managers with recruitment inquiries, providing guidance on job descriptions, person specifications, and adverts.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to identify and manage recruitment needs, ensuring a seamless hiring process.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to line managers to support employees' personal development needs.
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely and sensitive manner, escalating issues to the appropriate person as needed.
  • Work with the HR Team to deliver people management training, upskilling managers and identifying areas for development.
  • Maintain efficient office systems and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Undertake specific projects and tasks as directed by Senior Management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Employee Relations Specialist should possess:

  • An academic background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the HR field, particularly in recruitment.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and databases.
