Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiothoracic Physiotherapist to join our bank team at Bupa. As a bank physiotherapist, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy services to adult inpatients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide physiotherapy management to a caseload of patients with varied respiratory and cardiac presentations, including those undergoing cardiothoracic or major general surgery.
  • Assess and develop individualized treatment programs for each patient, using reflective practice and clinical reasoning.
  • Monitor and provide physiotherapy services to the adult Intensive Care Unit, managing clinical risk and communicating effectively with nursing staff.
  • Liaise with nursing staff and assess or deal appropriately with new admissions not included on your handover list.
  • Provide assistance to weekend colleagues as needed, utilizing your clinical competence and caseload.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • HCPC registration and CSP membership.
  • Proven broad experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, including acute respiratory, critical care, general surgery, and general medical caseloads.
  • Knowledge of specialist devices appropriate to respiratory care.
