Job Title: Bank Cardiothoracic Physiotherapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bank Cardiothoracic Physiotherapist to join our team at Cromwell Hospital in Kensington. As a Bank Physiotherapist, you will provide a client-centred and evidence-based service to adult inpatients, working primarily on weekends but also covering weekday shifts and on-call during staff absences and busy times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physiotherapy management to a caseload of patients with varied and often complex needs, including those living with head and neck cancer.
- Assess and treat patients with respiratory and cardiac presentations, including those undergoing cardiothoracic or major general surgery.
- Monitor and provide appropriate physiotherapy services to the adult Intensive Care Unit.
- Liaise with nursing staff and assess or deal appropriately with any new admissions not included on your handover list.
- Provide assistance to other weekend colleagues as your caseload and clinical competence allow.
Requirements:
- Degree in Physiotherapy.
- HCPC registration and CSP membership.
- Proven broad experience in the cardiorespiratory physiotherapy field, including acute respiratory, critical care, general surgery, and general medical caseloads.
- Knowledge of specialist devices appropriate to respiratory care.
