We are excited to present an opportunity for a Refrigeration Systems Specialist to join our exceptional Site Services team.

In this role, you will be an essential part of a dedicated team, responsible for the daily operations, upkeep, and troubleshooting of various refrigeration systems.

Our facility specializes in the production of chilled savory items, including rolls, pies, and pastries. With a rich history in food production, we pride ourselves on our innovative approach and commitment to quality.

Work Location: Company premises
Working Hours: 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with rotating shifts
On-call Duties: Every alternate week, including weekends
Compensation: Competitive salary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inspections of refrigeration systems, including Ammonia-Glycol, Freon, and CO2 plants.
  • Monitor system performance and address any faults promptly.
  • Perform routine water quality tests and resolve any identified issues.
  • Manage contractor work permits and oversee contractor activities.
  • Respond to system breakdowns, diagnose issues, and document repairs.
  • Carry out maintenance on building structures related to refrigeration.
  • Maintain chemical dosing systems for water treatment.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance tasks and document them accordingly.
  • Engage in various maintenance tasks, including fire safety checks and general upkeep.
  • Facilitate daily communication among refrigeration engineers regarding ongoing issues.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer with knowledge of Freon, CO2, and Ammonia systems.
  • FGAS Certification and relevant hands-on experience.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Refrigeration.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Electrical Engineering, preferably with industrial experience.
  • Experience with complex electrical control systems.
  • Familiarity with inverters and related technologies.
  • Strong mechanical skills with relevant certifications.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus.
  • Background in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
