About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our Clinical Trial Supplies team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and developing new and existing key strategic customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Key Accounts and Teams: Manage key client accounts while overseeing a team of Account Executives and Account Managers, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
  • Global Sourcing and Procurement: Develop and maintain global sourcing and procurement networks, identifying new opportunities to enhance the business's supply chain and product offerings.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact in client meetings, confidently leading discussions and addressing client needs without requiring senior team support.
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to Account Executives and Managers, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Representation at International Conferences: Represent the company at key international conferences, supporting the leadership team in networking and business development initiatives.
  • Budgeting and Sales Targets: Assist Account Directors in creating and managing budgets for key accounts, ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded, and new growth opportunities are identified.
  • Customer and Supplier Relationship Management: Build strong, lasting relationships with customers and suppliers, proactively addressing and resolving any issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all team activities adhere to company SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards, maintaining compliance in procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the Group Business Unit Director to promote a culture of continuous improvement, driving operational excellence across the business.
  • Performance Management and Talent Development: Manage and develop direct reports, focusing on performance management, talent acquisition, and retention to strengthen the team and achieve business goals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within comparator drug sourcing or equivalent.
  • A willingness and desire to develop within, and add value to, the business.
  • A customer-focused, enthusiastic, and proactive approach.
  • The ability to deal confidently with colleagues, regulatory bodies, customers, suppliers, and other relevant third parties.
  • The ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
  • Compliance-focused, with the ability to understand and develop processes and systems.
