About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Morecambe Bay Primary Care Collaborative. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic leadership and clinical expertise to support the development and implementation of primary care services in the Morecambe Bay area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction to PCN Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy strategies to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
- Collaborate with GP practices, PCNs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Provide expert advice and guidance on clinical pharmacy matters to PCN Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to clinical pharmacy
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality care delivery
Requirements:
- Master of Pharmacy (or equivalent) degree
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as an independent prescriber
- Completion of CPPE PCPEP or evidence of full exemption from the pathway
- 5 years' experience of working in a Clinical Pharmacy role and a minimum of 2 years of leadership and management experience in primary care
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
