Mechanical Tooling Specialist

Salary: £36,440 (inclusive of 10% shift allowance) + Benefits
Job Summary:
Tata Steel UK is seeking a skilled Mechanical Tooling Team Member to join our team in Hartlepool. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of critical tooling required to produce a range of tube diameters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance regimes on tooling and equipment
- Overhaul spares following tooling and size changes
- Resolve line stops as part of a wider team
- Monitor and replace bearings, fastenings, and fixings as required
- Conduct regular wear checks on forming rolls
- Replace cutting tools as needed
- Record information in a computer-based maintenance system
Requirements:
- Mechanical apprenticeship gained in an industrial environment
- Experience working effectively within a team
- Systematic problem-solving approach
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to articulate with a range of individuals on site
