Job Summary:
Tata Steel UK is seeking a skilled Mechanical Tooling Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and building a range of machines, ensuring high performance and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance regimes on critical tooling
- Overhaul spares following tooling and size changes
- Resolve line stops as part of a wider team
- Monitor and replace bearings, fastenings, and fixings
- Conduct regular wear checks on forming rolls
- Replace cutting tools and record information in a computer-based maintenance system
Requirements:
- Mechanical apprenticeship gained in an industrial environment
- Experience working effectively within a team
- Systematic problem-solving approach
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to articulate with a range of individuals on site
