The successful candidate will possess a robust foundation in financial analysis, a keen interest in the healthcare sector, and the capability to make well-informed investment choices. This position presents a distinctive chance to collaborate closely with experienced portfolio managers, with the potential for advancement to a junior portfolio manager role within a highly performance-driven setting. Candidates with healthcare expertise from various backgrounds, including: Long/Short Equities, Asset Management, or elite Equity Research teams at major financial institutions, will be considered.
You will be part of a compact team guided by an accomplished portfolio manager known for an exceptional performance record. The group has achieved impressive returns this year and has consistently outperformed peers with similar investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the oversight and management of healthcare equity investments.
- Perform comprehensive research and analysis of healthcare firms, encompassing financial modeling, valuation assessments, and competitive evaluations.
- Develop investment concepts and present recommendations to senior portfolio managers.
- Contribute to investment strategy formulation, including idea generation, due diligence, and stock selection.
- Keep abreast of market trends, industry shifts, and regulatory updates impacting the healthcare domain.
- Engage in discussions with company executives, attend industry conferences, and participate in events to gather insights that inform investment strategies.
- Work collaboratively with the research team to create sector-specific investment approaches.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Fundamental Equity Analyst, specializing in healthcare equities.
- Candidates from Long Only Asset Managers, Long/Short Hedge Funds, or Equity Research teams at leading financial institutions will be considered.
- Experience in Long/Short equities is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A clear enthusiasm for public market investments and a strong passion for healthcare equities are essential.
