Engineering Team Leader
Location: Severnside

Müller has been a cherished brand in the UK for over three decades, continually expanding its offerings to provide a wider range of exceptional dairy products. The brand is currently the 7th most chosen FMCG brand in the UK, with its products being selected from supermarket shelves over 208 million times annually.
We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to oversee operations at our BlowMoulding facility. The ideal candidate will possess experience in leading teams within high-volume, complex manufacturing settings and will be driven by the challenges inherent in such environments.
Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Team Leader:
- Inspire and motivate the engineering team through effective leadership, coaching, and development.
- Manage contractors and maintenance suppliers through performance evaluations.
- Mentor apprentices in the Eden program.
- Assist in implementing the Maintenance Excellence roadmap for the site.
- Ensure adherence to planned maintenance schedules through strategic resource allocation.
- Maintain adequate plant coverage as required through effective resource management.
- Analyze CMMS data to facilitate forward planning and identify equipment improvement opportunities.
- Fully support end-to-end Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
- Review maintenance activities and identify opportunities for cost-effectiveness improvements.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and utilize problem-solving techniques.
- Support the site and departmental 5S program.
- Develop and implement maintenance improvement strategies.
- Drive and support Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) activities.
- Collaborate with manufacturers of specialized machinery and equipment suppliers to promote standardization and cost-effective improvements.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage personnel, including performance reviews, team development, and addressing employee relations issues.
- Establish purpose and direction around OGSM deliverables, communicating objectives and embodying company values.
- Align activities with overall business objectives, understanding how current performance impacts profitability.
- Collaborate with other teams to enhance business operations.
- Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Operational Excellence, coaching the team on the application of principles and tools, and encouraging engineering-based OE projects.
- Leverage all available opportunities to empower others in improving operational processes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of an engineering apprenticeship.
