Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + door-to-door travel.

Location: Leicester

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Reporting To: Engineering Manager

TECREC (ENGINEERING RECRUITMENT SPECIALISTS) LTD is actively seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established engineering firm with over seventy years of experience in the industry. This company has positioned itself as a leading independent engineering group in the UK.

The company boasts a workforce of approximately 700 employees and operates from a substantial manufacturing facility spanning 140,000 square feet.

As a Gas Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting both planned and reactive maintenance throughout the Leicester area.
  • Executing PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) tasks efficiently and proactively.
  • Communicating issues to the helpdesk and collaborating with the contract manager for solutions.
  • Preparing detailed quotes that encompass researched methodologies, including accurate parts and labor estimates to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Diagnosing breakdowns effectively and ensuring timely repairs of equipment.
  • Documenting all work performed and generating necessary quotes as required.
  • Adhering to mandatory health, safety, compliance, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinating with other departments, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Maintaining site logbooks and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
