Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Operations Coordinator to join our team in the Africa region. As a key member of our Global Security Operations Centre, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality operational security services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in security operations, crisis management, and logistics planning, with a focus on the African region. They will be responsible for supporting the security desk, handling security advice, and providing assistance to travellers, expatriates, and corporate security/risk managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the security desk and provide security advice to clients
  • Work alongside the security operations team during escalations across all regions
  • Provide 'Active Monitoring' services to subscribed clients affected by major security incidents
  • Assist with coordinating operations as part of an Incident Management Team during escalated situations, evacuations, and security operations
  • Collaborate with our team of Global Intelligence Analysts to contribute to Africa-related operational advice and risk intelligence output
  • Assist in the development of security operational capability across Africa
  • Take responsibility for asset due diligence across all regions

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree or masters in a related field, such as International Relations, Politics, or Security
  • Expertise and knowledge of political and security issues in the Africa region
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure, whilst following protocol with high attention to detail
