Position Overview: Practice Coordinator

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Practice Coordinator to take on a pivotal role at Maryfield Medical Centre in Dundee. Operating under NHS Tayside, the centre is looking for a candidate who will engage collaboratively with various teams within the practice.

The successful applicant will possess prior experience in a supervisory capacity within a general practice or demonstrate a similar level of expertise. Responsibilities will include providing leadership and operational oversight to the administration team, with an emphasis on staff motivation, development, negotiation, conflict resolution, and informed decision-making.

  • Experience with GP practice IT systems such as Vision and Docman
  • Ability to summarize patient notes, perform clinical coding, and manage data entry
  • Proficiency in creating Vision searches and extracting data for clinical audits
  • Willingness to adapt work patterns and engage with the public

Adherence to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland is mandatory for this position. Further details can be found on NHS Tayside's dedicated microsite.

Work Schedule: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Important Note: NHS Scotland is transitioning to a 37-hour workweek with no change in pay. Temporary adjustments may be necessary until all services align with the new working hours.
