Job Title: MSK Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled MSK Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team of clinicians at Bupa UK Insurance. As an MSK Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our members with evidence-based treatment pathways, ensuring their care is in line with best practice and their Bupa policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support our members in ensuring their treatment pathway is evidence-based, in line with best practice and their Bupa policy.
  • Identify and support our most complex cases through liaison with both members and Bupa recognised providers.
  • Proactively guide customers and provide knowledgeable and efficient front-line service, including signposting our members to eligible services through their policy.
  • Respond professionally to telephone calls and other forms of communication from internal and external contacts, within designated time scales.
  • Be empowered to use your initiative to resolve queries using escalation processes as required.
  • Proactively support colleagues through sharing information and knowledge.
  • Use a range of systems available to you and ensure information is appropriately documented.
  • Contribute to the good governance of the Clinical Services including accessing supervision and training.
  • Use high-quality communication skills adapted to meet the needs of each interaction with members, providers, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registered
  • Evidence of postgraduate study in MSK / Orthopaedics / Pain management.
  • Experience of orthopaedic screening and triage services.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of approaches to the management of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Sound clinical reasoning skills, able to work independently, think analytically and use a problem-solving approach
  • Experience of working as a band 6/equivalent musculoskeletal physiotherapist (minimum 5 years).
  • Ability to work independently within scope of practice and role requirements
  • Professional role model in line with HCPC code of practice
  • Ability to deal calmly and professionally in managing complex and challenging conversations
  • Resilience with an ability to work under pressure, at pace and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, including both telephone, video consultation and Letter/Email writing skills, and the ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers of all levels.
