About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our pastoral team as a Secondary Head of Year. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding pastoral support for all students within the year group, and fostering a culture that enables all students to maximise their achievements across the spectrum of school life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional pastoral support to students, ensuring their well-being and academic success
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote student engagement and motivation
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and analyze student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a pastoral leadership role, preferably in a secondary school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive student outcomes
