Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Engineering: Provide setting out and engineering control on site, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities, working closely with the project team to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete diary sheets and any required photographic evidence, ensuring that all quality records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Material Management: Undertake material reconciliations, ensuring that all materials are accounted for and that any discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
  • Equipment Calibration: Calibrate surveying equipment, ensuring that all instruments are accurate and functioning correctly.
  • Site Documentation: Produce site sketches and assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Team Support: Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming, and mentor junior and graduate engineers as required.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and introduce new processes, techniques, and innovations on site, ensuring that we are always working efficiently and effectively.
  • Company Property: Ensure that company property is cared for and securely stored, maintaining a safe and secure working environment.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Read and interpret data and drawings, utilizing standard setting out techniques and Level and EDM with GPS knowledge preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate problem-solving skills, thinking creatively and outside the box to resolve complex issues.
  • Certifications: Hold a relevant CSCS card, ensuring that you have the necessary qualifications and certifications to work on site.
  • Office Expertise: Utilize office software and systems, and have relevant experience in a similar role.
