About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our busy General Surgery team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our clinical team, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative, clerical, and audiotyping services to the clinical and managerial teams.
- Act as a point of liaison for patients, GPs, staff, and outside agencies.
- Manage and monitor patients through their treatment pathways, ensuring compliance with cancer pathways and waiting time standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication with patients, families, and carers.
