About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Church Farm Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, while also inspiring and developing our Care Assistants to be their best every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, ensuring the smooth operation of care delivery and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents.
- Supporting with clinical duties, including observing, issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and accurate record keeping, under the guidance of the Nurse.
- Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers and ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Helping with training and supervision of new staff members, providing a warm welcome and supporting their development.
- Building relationships with residents, their families, and external teams, such as GPs and District Nurses, to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties, promoting independence and dignity.
