About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of Lambeth's parks and open spaces. As a Park Attendant, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of grounds maintenance duties, including grass cutting, waste management, and operational inspections. You will also be involved in building maintenance, such as toilet cleaning, and will act as a key point of contact with the public and stakeholders.

About the Team

The Lambeth Parks Team is responsible for managing over 100 parks and open spaces across the borough. These spaces are a valuable resource for Lambeth's residents and visitors, essential for their health, wellbeing, and quality of life. We are proud to have Green Flag Award-winning parks in the borough and take pride in ensuring they remain a great asset for the Lambeth community and future generations to enjoy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out grounds maintenance duties, including grass cutting, waste management, and operational inspections
  • Contribute to building maintenance, such as toilet cleaning
  • Act as a key point of contact with the public and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the Lambeth Parks Team to maintain and improve our parks and open spaces
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of grounds maintenance operations and horticultural skills
  • Clean driving licence
  • Ability to carry out heavy manual work and work in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our parks and open spaces
