About the Team:
The Lambeth Parks Team is responsible for the management of over parks and open spaces throughout the borough. These areas serve as essential resources for the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of Lambeth's residents and visitors. We take pride in our Green Flag Award-winning parks and are committed to maintaining them as valuable assets for the community and future generations. Our grounds maintenance operations are conducted in-house through Lambeth Landscapes.
About the Role:
This role presents an exciting opportunity to become a part of our dedicated staff as a Parks Maintenance Attendant. We have four positions available, including two permanent roles and two fixed-term contracts. The successful candidates will undertake a variety of grounds maintenance tasks, including grass cutting, waste management, and operational inspections, as well as building maintenance duties such as restroom cleaning. As frontline staff, you will serve as a key point of contact for the public and stakeholders.
Ideal candidates will possess a solid understanding of grounds maintenance operations and horticultural skills, along with a clean driving license. The role requires the ability to perform heavy manual labor, which can be physically demanding, and a willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
