Position Overview:
The primary objective of the Community Housing Coordinator role is to provide a comprehensive housing service to tenants and leaseholders while collaborating with various teams to promote sustainable living environments.
This role involves delivering a proactive and resident-centered housing management service across assigned estates, ensuring that our organization meets its legal and contractual responsibilities to tenants and leaseholders.
As a visible and approachable presence within the community, the Coordinator will ensure that estates are secure and well-kept, offering guidance, information, and reports on all housing management issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver essential housing management services to a high standard, ensuring timely execution of all activities.
- Provide support, guidance, and information to residents regarding a full spectrum of tenancy and estate management services.
- Collaborate with other service departments (e.g., repairs) to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Address complaints, member inquiries, and service delivery challenges within the scope of the role, proposing enhancements for service delivery.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of housing issues, estate management, health and safety, and their implications for resident well-being and landlord responsibilities.
Knowledge of current legislation pertaining to housing, tenancy, leasehold management, and safety is essential.
Ability to produce clear, well-structured written communication that positively impacts recipients.
Educational qualifications should be at NQF level 3 (e.g., A level/BTEC National Diploma, NVQ level 3) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
