Job Title: Principal Consultant in Aviation Transactions

Role Overview

This position involves providing strategic advice on complex issues related to airports and the broader aviation and transport infrastructure sectors, particularly in transaction-related assignments.
This role presents an opportunity to deliver top-tier consultancy to airport operators, investors, lenders, airlines, and regulatory bodies worldwide. Your work will encompass a variety of analyses to aid decision-making in the aviation industry, including guidance for investors looking to acquire airport ownership and support for management teams aiming to enhance the profitability of their aviation-related ventures.

Key Qualifications

  • A degree in a field with substantial analytical components, such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operational Research, or Geography.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Ability to produce high-quality consultancy for clients in the aviation sector, particularly airport operators, investors, and lenders.
  • Experience in conducting technical analyses, report writing, and client presentations.
  • Skill in developing effective, high-quality proposals for clients.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with team members on projects that require timely delivery of quality outputs.
  • Involvement in technical discipline development activities, including innovative uses of new data types.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom without employer sponsorship.

Core Competencies

  • Proven track record in successfully supporting consultancy projects.
  • Solid understanding of the dynamics within the global aviation sector, ideally with experience in air traffic forecasting or airport business plan development.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, particularly with Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, report writing, and communication abilities.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, potentially in a supporting capacity.
  • Likely background in consultancy, airport operations, investment, financial institutions, airlines, or regulatory agencies in a strategy-oriented role.

Additional Assets

  • Previous advisory experience in aviation sector transactions.
  • Fluency in a European or other prominent language besides English.
  • Advanced degrees such as a Master's or MBA.
  • Familiarity with big data management techniques.
  • Knowledge of sustainability issues within the aviation industry.
