Job Description:

ASC Connections Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial function and providing strategic financial guidance to the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the sales and purchase ledger, cash posting, payroll, general ledger, and the production of monthly management accounts.
  • Report to the Managing Director and global HQ regarding financial budgets and forecasts, as well as monthly and year-end financial reports.
  • Liaise with senior management to provide financial and operational insights, set and monitor budgets, and drive business growth.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury, and investment, and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement sales forecasting, margin analysis, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify areas for cost reduction and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax.
  • Coach and mentor members of the finance team to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Requirements:
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • Experience leading a financial team and working with key stakeholders to drive commercial success.
  • Strong background in process improvement and IT skills.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering business, preferably with a turnover of £20M+.
