Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Disability Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in the Swansea area.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to patients with learning disabilities, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Work closely with Consultant colleagues to ensure continuity of care pathways and provide unscheduled care as needed.
  • Participate in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illness within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the modernization of our Learning Disability services, aiming to become leaders in the field.
Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC and a Licence to Practice.
  • Broad-based experience in psychiatry across the range of sub-specialties, with knowledge of UK hospital systems.
  • Ability to commute within the Health Board's geographical area and access to an appropriate means of transport.

  • A competitive salary range of £91,722 - £119,079 per annum, with a further remuneration per annum in commitment awards when eligible.

  • Essential criteria:
    • Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice.
