About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Electrical Engineer to join our established Marine Electrical business in Aberdeen on a full-time basis (39 hours per week).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Fault finding on AC/DC LV systems on a wide variety of installations
  • Electrical installation and commissioning of various new apparatus
  • Reading and understanding electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Power generation/management with AC and DC circuits, generator and battery power sources
  • Testing and maintaining LV Switchboards, control panels, motors and generators
  • Liaising with clients to discuss ongoing and future work scopes
  • Reporting issues on Safety, Quality, resources etc. liaising with management to resolve problems and implement changes

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrable experience in Electrical Engineering
  • Good understanding of control panel wiring
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar electrical or Marine Industry preferred
  • A leadership approach to health and safety and environmental obligations
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Willing to work away from home for periods (project dependent)
  • Computer and software literate
  • Attention to detail and able to multitask
  • Full UK driving licence
