Job Title: Technical Sales Manager - Power Burners Europe

The Sales Manager - Power Burners Europe will be responsible for developing the power burner business in Europe from initial customer contact through to order and project implementation, supporting our project execution team. Proposals may involve small components or multi-million pound contracts. This requires a flexible, conscientious, hard-working and focussed individual who likes to work in a challenging environment and often to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify business opportunities and initiate customer contact to develop prospects into enquiries.
  • Support customers with front-end feasibility and study work, evaluating customer enquiries and developing work scopes.
  • Visit customer plants and site surveys, problem-solving where needed, and develop competitive or innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Carry out process and engineering design, sizing and optimising equipment, and obtain supplier pricing and prepare project budgets.
  • Liaise with outside salespersons/agents, project engineers, purchasing, logistics, and manufacturing, and prepare written technical and commercial proposals.
  • Present and define concepts to customers, review and negotiate commercial terms and conditions, and commercial negotiations/closing orders.
  • Handover of orders to project engineers for execution and post-order support to the execution team.
Requirements:
  • Good technical or engineering qualification.
  • Experience within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience of selling projects in both the UK & Europe.
  • Some experience of combustion equipment would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Mechanical or process engineering background, ideally with some practical commissioning or site experience.
  • Flexible, hard-working, team player.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Good at problem-solving with the ability to think laterally.
  • Willing to travel both within the UK and internationally.

The candidate must be able to drive and live within an hour's travel distance of our Stamford office.
