Position: Compliance and Risk Assessment Analyst

Company: Trade Association

Work Arrangement: 1 Day in Office, 4 Days Remote

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 based on experience, plus benefits including 28 days of holiday, bank holidays, and a 10% pension contribution.

Overview:
Our client, a well-established trade association with over 1,800 member organizations, is in search of a Compliance and Risk Assessment Analyst.

Role Overview:
The Trade Association is looking for a dedicated full-time Compliance and Risk Assessment Analyst to enhance its Membership team. This position will play a vital role in supporting the Membership department's initiatives, focusing on conducting thorough due diligence and managing ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze comprehensive documentation regarding members' organizational structures, ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), directors, and associated identification details.
- Ensure compliance with membership standards and mitigate risks through meticulous review of obtained information.
- Evaluate the legal, financial, operational, and reputational aspects of members using tools such as WorldCheck.

Candidate Profile:
- Qualifications or expertise in Anti-Money Laundering, Know Your Counterparty, Customer Due Diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence, and Combatting Financing of Terrorism.
- Proficient in processes and systems like World-Check One and Orbis, with experience in sanction screening and document verification.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in due diligence, financial analysis, risk management, or a related field, preferably within the finance or legal sectors.
- Proven experience in conducting due diligence investigations and producing high-quality reports.
- Familiarity with risk and compliance matters, and knowledge of the precious metals and gemstone supply chain is desirable.
- Strong understanding of sustainability issues, including business ethics, environmental impact, labor conditions, health and safety, responsible sourcing, and human rights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- A degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
