About the RoleYou'll work closely with our global teams to provide consultative and collaborative advice on complex legal and business issues. As a high-achieving legal team member, you'll be part of a diverse and inclusive team that's passionate about creating better experiences for our merchants and partners.
Key Responsibilities- Advise on privacy and data protection matters across our geographies, collaborating with external counsel when necessary.
- Partner with our commercial, product, engineering, and information security teams to provide real-time legal guidance and creative solutions.
- Support the development, launch, and expansion of innovative payment products and services, embedding a privacy-by-design approach.
- Stay up-to-date on new regulatory developments and advise on the privacy implications of emerging technologies, including AI governance.
- Support relationships with data privacy regulators and implement our privacy governance framework.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior legal team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Qualified solicitor/lawyer with strong post-qualification experience in-house or in private practice.
- Significant experience in a dedicated privacy and data protection role.
- Ability to handle multiple high-priority projects concurrently.
- A practical, solutions-oriented approach to solving legal challenges.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex legal issues clearly and concisely.
