Position Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Nursing Associate within the Children and Young People's Special School Nursing Service at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT). This role is centered on delivering clinical and public health nursing services to children, young individuals, and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Nursing Associate will provide care within their established competencies as developed during their training.
  • Identify changes in a child's condition and promptly seek assistance from a senior nurse or appropriate medical professionals.
  • Collaborate in the planning, execution, and evaluation of care for children and young people as part of the nursing team.
  • Utilize recognized assessment tools to evaluate and document changes in a child's health status.
  • Administer care and monitor children according to their personalized care plans.
  • Implement non-complex tasks and interventions as guided by established protocols.
  • Contribute to the review and planning of care delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to peers and trainees.
  • Maintain accurate and clear documentation in compliance with professional standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.

Required Experience

  • Experience in caring for children and young people in a healthcare environment.
