Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with autism, assisting them throughout their daily school activities.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to modify lessons tailored to the unique requirements of each student.
  • Utilize visual aids and various communication strategies to enhance students' comprehension.
  • Facilitate the development of social and communication skills among students.
  • Track and report on student progress, maintaining close communication with the SENCo and families.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with autism in an educational context.
  • In-depth knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and effective support strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in special educational needs support or similar experience.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting inclusive education.
