We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Lead Culinary Specialist to become a vital part of our expanding team at Sachi.

As a distinguished establishment, Sachi is celebrated for its exceptional Japanese cuisine and vibrant rooftop bar atmosphere.

Our culinary philosophy, rooted in the traditional kappo ryori approach, takes center stage, offering a unique dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to kitchen personnel, ensuring culinary excellence is consistently achieved.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef on menu design, recipe innovation, and the development of creative dishes.
  • Oversee food quality and flavor to maintain consistency and adherence to established culinary standards.
  • Assist in the scheduling, staffing, and performance assessments of kitchen team members.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of kitchen equipment, ingredients, and workspaces to uphold cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Support the management of food and labor expenses through effective inventory oversight, portion control, and waste minimization.
  • Adapt to unexpected challenges or changes within the kitchen environment.
  • Identify training requirements within the kitchen team and offer coaching and development opportunities.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to kitchen staff regarding their roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef role within a high-paced culinary environment, preferably in Michelin-starred or premium dining establishments.

Proven experience in supervising, training, and nurturing kitchen staff.
