LOCATION: London Heathrow Airport

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 2 off, early start is 0500 and late finish is 23.00 mixed shifts

We are expanding our dedicated team and are looking for skilled individuals to join us in various roles, including Team Leaders, Quality Managers, and Secure Clean Operatives.

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

The Aircraft Cleaning Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining exceptional cleaning standards within the designated timeframes for each aircraft. This position involves operating high lift vehicles and ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures while supporting the Cabin Appearance Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively manage cleaning teams, ensuring both individual and group performance meets established quality standards.
  • Safely operate aircraft steps and position them correctly on the aircraft.
  • Deliver exemplary service and set a positive example for the team.
  • Coordinate with movement control to obtain daily operational details and ensure all documentation complies with data protection regulations.
  • Communicate key focus areas and specific requirements to the team during briefings.
  • Plan and allocate tasks efficiently among team members.
  • Maintain accurate security check records and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Collaborate with the allocations team to communicate aircraft schedules and turnaround times.
  • Monitor team performance to ensure adherence to standards and effective use of equipment.
  • Oversee the signing in and out of equipment and ensure proper documentation is completed.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs with teams to address any issues and prevent callbacks.
  • Coach and mentor cleaning staff to achieve service level agreements.
  • Manage absence reporting and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Implement effective management practices, including performance appraisals and staff development.
  • Maintain discipline and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all documentation is processed in accordance with data protection regulations.

HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding health and safety.
  • Report any deficiencies in work systems or equipment that may pose risks to service delivery or safety.
  • Utilize all equipment and personal protective equipment in accordance with training.
  • Communicate any training needs or issues to management promptly.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in driving, preferably in passenger transport.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shift patterns.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Proficient in computer use.
